BREAST SURGERIES

breast asymmetry

Most people have some degree of asymmetry. These asymmetries can already be observed in the initial stages of breast development. At fifteen or sixteen these differences may already be present.

A normally developing breast can be accompanied by another larger, smaller or with some degree of malformation, such as the tuberous breast. Both breasts can be tuberous, but to different degrees, conditioning an asymmetry.

There are also acquired asymmetries, not from birth, that occur after partial removal of the breast, due to repeated biopsies, nodules or breast cancer.

In short, all combinations of asymmetries are possible, and surgical treatment allows individualized treatment to significantly improve these alterations, allowing the symmetrization of the breasts and the aesthetic improvement of both breasts.

We can, for example, reduce one breast and raise it, increase another with an implant or correct tuberous breasts to improve their shape and match or approximate their sizes.

Many breast remodeling techniques can be applied to cases of asymmetry, achieving significant aesthetic improvements. Lipofilling techniques or fat transfer from the patient herself, have recently contributed to increase the possibilities of treatment in breast asymmetries.
