Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP)

Ideal restorative treatment to be applied to mature skin that shows signs of aging or to young skin with acne marks. It produces important benefits on aged skin, restores skin vitality, increases its thickness and recovers its elastic consistency.

The advantage of using Platelet Rich Plasma, also known as PRP, in Antiage treatments, is that of using a biological substance manufactured by our body, chemical-free and risk-free.

It is a restorative treatment to be applied to mature skin that shows signs of aging or to young skin with acne marks, through which visible results are obtained, greater luminosity is achieved and coloration is improved, achieving a significant increase in smoothness. of the skin.

What does the Platelet Rich Plasma or PRP treatment consist of?

Platelet-Rich Plasma is obtained from the patient's own blood, through a process that includes centrifugation of a blood sample, from which platelet-rich plasma is obtained. Platelet Rich Plasma is applied to the skin through microinjections.

This treatment consists of 3 steps:

1. Blood extraction: the area where the extraction will be carried out is disinfected. Preferably from the forearm. An elastic band is previously placed to restrict venous circulation and thus facilitate extraction. Once the sample is obtained, the elastic band is removed before withdrawing the needle to restore circulation. Estimated time: 5-10 min.

2. Spin:  Once the sample is obtained, it is centrifuged at 2800 - 3100 rpm for 9-10 min. At the end of the centrifugation we already have the sample ready for activation.

3. PRP application:  PRP can be injected intradermally through microinjections, where functional skin cells abound, excess amounts of PRP can be injected as a nappage into the epidermis to stimulate epidermal cells. In any case, the areas and depth of injection depend on the pathology to be treated or the desired effect.

Post-treatment tips

PRP treatment can be combined with Mesotherapy at 7-14 days to optimize results. It is recommended to do a cycle of 3 sessions per year, and optionally, it is combined with other products, depending on the needs of the skin.

Patients will develop some swelling, which they will interpret as a sign of reactivation of their skin. In some points, the needle can produce some small marks, which disappear the next day without any problem.

Make-up and your usual cosmetics can be applied.
